new year's resolutions 2015

What Are YOUR 2015 New Year’s Resolutions?

Once again, it's THAT time of the year where everybody's busy setting their New Year's Resolutions.

While many people may argue that New Year's Resolutions do not work… I have an alternative view…

I feel that no matter what, it's good that you take some time to seriously think about and write down what you want for this year. Here's a good FREE goal setting guide I've written to help you with that =)

Clarity gives you power. Knowing what you want gives you a direction to move towards to… While we may get sidetracked ever so often, knowing where it is that we are ultimately heading will bring us back on track again.

Now let's look at some of the most common New Year's Resolutions…

common new year's resolutions 2015

– Drink Less
– Quit Smoking
– Join Gym
Lose Weight
– Get Fit
– Find New Job
– Pay Off Debts
– Save Money
– Help Others
– Find Love
– Take A Trip
– Enjoy Life

These are all great but my advice is make 1 of them your TOP priority and work on AT MOST 3 of them this year…

Otherwise you will get overwhelmed… which is what happens to most people and why they always fail to make their New Year's Resolutions work.

Let me share with you my personal New Year's Resolution for 2015

*Focus on God's Word*

I've realized how important it is to seek His wisdom and favor in all that I do…

Jeremiah 17:7-8 – “Blessed is the man who trusts in The Lord and whose Hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

My action plan is to start each day by opening up my bible app first and meditating on His Word.

Let me leave you with an awesome prayer from one of my friends LA Davis…

Lord,

Empty me so I can be filled with you.
Empty me of the selfishness inside.
Every vain ambition and the poison of my pride.
And any foolishness my hearts holds too.
Fill me with your love, strength, and grace.
For…
Your strength will give me courage.
Your love will give (me) hope.
Your grace will show me righteousness.
Forgive me of my sins so I may walk in this new year with you by my side.
Lord, empty me so I can be filled with you.”
