Beloved, do you know that it pleases God when you ask Him for BIG things?
Why?
Because when you ask Him for something that you know you cannot achieve on your own in the natural (without His help), He sees your faith and when He makes it happen, you have no other choice than to acknowledge…
“This couldn’t be because of my own efforts… It must be God’s work!”
… and you give all the praise and all the glory to Him!
Just a couple of years ago, I lost 6 figures in the stock market and got into 5 figure debts. I looked to Lord Jesus and said, “Lord, I made a very bad decision in the stock market. I know it’s my fault but I also know that you are a God that can bless even my mistakes (Psalm 1:3). I need your help, Lord. I trust in your supernatural restoration…”
Within 1 year, God restored my losses and cleared my debts. I went from negative 5-figures back to positive 6-figures.
I didn’t focus on the “How” because that’s not my part to worry about. All I focused on was how BIG and powerful my God is (Zephaniah 3:17; Matthew 19:26; Jeremiah 10:12; Isaiah 40:28; Psalm 147:5; Psalm 8:3-4; Deuteronomy 10:17) and how much He loves me (John 3:16)
Beloved, if there’s a seemingly big obstacle in your life right now, I want you to stop focusing on the problem but instead look to your wonderful, loving and gracious Savior and proclaim His blessings and favor over that “mountain”…
And don’t worry about the “How”… He will take care of it… Just stand in faith and watch as He turns your situation around!
In fact, this is what The Lord did for David, the young shepherd boy who was only armed with a sling and five stones when He was pitted against Goliath, the experienced giant champion warrior from the Philistines. The odds were clearly stacked against David but I want you to watch what David said just before he defeated Goliath…
1 Samuel 17:45-47
“David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
Beloved, I pray that you will be filled with the same level of faith as David and that the Lord will do for you what He did for David…
Go ahead and ask God for Big things and watch as He over delivers and floods your life with His overflowing blessings and favor!
